Meg’s Monster will reach PlayStation 5 on March 1, 2027, Odencat has announced. The new version brings Roy and Meg’s journey to another console, while the developer also plans a PS5 release for the Lost Memories expansion and a bundle containing both.

The publisher’s release notice gives the base game a firm March date. It describes the DLC and combined package as planned for PS5 next year, without separately assigning them the same day. A Switch Complete Edition bundle is also part of the announcement.

Keeping Meg calm is part of surviving a battle

The official game description sets up an unusual imbalance. Roy begins with 99,999 health points and is extremely difficult to hurt, yet his strength cannot remove the central danger: Meg’s distress can bring about the end of the world.

That makes protecting her more important than merely preserving the fighter’s health bar. Battles contain individual mechanics and minigames, while toys provide a way to reassure Meg. The player must respond to the situation around the child as well as the enemy confronting Roy.

The pairing begins when Roy and his friend Golan discover Meg in the Underworld. Their effort to find her mother gradually connects the group to a larger mystery. Optional events can also develop relationships with characters previously fought, giving those encounters a role beyond defeating another opponent.

Odencat describes the original as a short, story-led RPG. Its structure is useful context for PS5 newcomers: the central attraction is how the encounters and relationships support a contained adventure, rather than an advertised campaign built around endlessly raising Roy’s already enormous health total.

Lost Memories looks backward through five lives

The existing Steam description of Lost Memories outlines five shorter prequel stories. They expand the setting through characters’ experiences before the main adventure, rather than continuing Roy and Meg’s journey as a conventional next chapter.

One story follows a fighter trying to cover his sick brother’s treatment costs. Another concerns a young child whose approaching birthday unsettles her parents. Other perspectives include a being created to kill a particular person, someone reborn as a monster who seeks order in the Underworld, and a young monster subjected to laboratory experiments.

Those premises develop the game’s questions about the relationship between human and monstrous behavior from several directions. Odencat estimates approximately two hours for the collection on its existing listing; that is a publisher estimate, not a measured PS5 completion time.

The bundle changes what is included

For a new PlayStation audience, the purchasing distinction is between the original story and a package that also supplies those prequels. Lost Memories is DLC requiring the base game in its current Steam release, and Odencat describes the planned console bundle as combining the two products. March 1 is the confirmed PS5 starting point; the separate DLC and bundle listings will establish their precise availability on that platform.
