Wolves Esports won the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open Season 2 in Lahore, Pakistan, taking the championship with an eight-elimination victory on Miramar in the twelfth Grand Finals match. The result earned Wolves $60,000 and 150 PMGC Points, securing the team a place at December’s PUBG MOBILE Global Championship.

The final ended on October 25, with the organizer publishing its results announcement the following day. Thirty-two teams entered the tournament, which carried a $500,000 total prize pool. That tournament-wide figure is distinct from the winner’s individual award.

Why the last match decided the title

The championship used the SMASH Rule: a team needed to become eligible through its accumulated points and then win a match to finish the tournament. Wolves converted that opportunity in Match 12, rather than simply being declared champion because a fixed series of games had ended.

Ligagame’s final report describes AK Gold Esports entering the closing match with the points lead and already in a position to win under the format. Wolves had reached the required status in the preceding match. AK Gold’s lead therefore did not make the championship secure: both eligibility and the decisive match victory mattered.

AK Gold finished runner-up, while the report also confirms PMGC qualification for AK Gold and Bigetron by Vitality. A team could consequently leave Lahore without the trophy and still achieve the separate objective of reaching the year-end event.

The organizer’s pre-final format briefing had allowed for a thirteenth match if nobody won through SMASH by Match 12. A themed showmatch determined a map veto for that contingency, with the leading team then choosing between the remaining options. Wolves’ Miramar win made that additional title-deciding match unnecessary.

The route through Lahore

Twelve teams reached the Grand Finals directly from the two groups, with four more qualifying through the Survival Stage. Wolves topped Group B with 64 points, narrowly ahead of Vampire Esports on 63. Survival qualifiers included 4K Esports, Alpha7, AlUla and Alter Ego Ares, illustrating that a slower opening stage did not end every contender’s tournament.

4K ultimately finished third, and its player ALA received Grand Finals MVP after 23 eliminations. That individual award measures a different achievement from the team championship; the final standings and the player honors should not be conflated.

Level Infinite reports peak concurrent viewing of 1,143,187, compared with 1,077,552 for PMGO Season 1. These are organizer-supplied peak figures, not a count of unique people who watched across the entire event.

Lahore hosted Pakistan’s first official global PUBG MOBILE esports event. With Season 2 complete, the qualification race now points toward PMGC in Türkiye, where the announced prize pool is $3 million. Wolves arrives with a tournament win and a guaranteed place, while other qualifiers carry forward the points and results earned across the season.
