Adorable Adventures will arrive digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12. PQube and Wild Sheep Studio have also scheduled a physical game-key card edition for January 28, 2027, with retail reservations available in Europe and North America.

The new version includes Family Fun, the update released for existing platforms in September. It expands what Boris’s siblings can do and adds activities after the main adventure, so the Switch 2 release begins with those additions already included.

Finding a family by following smells

Boris is a baby boar separated from his family by a forest fire. His search takes him across a park inspired by the Cévennes National Park in southern France, passing through meadows, forests, caves and rocky highlands. The game previously launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on April 30; November’s date concerns the additional Nintendo version.

The game overview describes navigation built around Boris’s developing sense of smell. Players identify a scent, follow its trail and learn to filter out smells they have already recognized. As the collection grows, separating the useful trail from competing scents becomes part of finding the way through the park.

Each sibling has a personality reflected in the puzzle needed to persuade them to join Boris. The larger objective involves bringing the family together to help their mother, who is trapped in an abandoned hut. The search therefore gives the discoveries a purpose beyond completing a collection.

The park is also shaped by the recent fire. In the ash-covered area, residue interferes with Boris’s nose, requiring paths to be cleared before the tracking mechanic works as expected. It is a concrete variation on the central system rather than a different combat challenge.

What Family Fun adds

According to the Switch 2 announcement, reunited siblings can hold objects and wear accessories found during the journey. Additional interactions let the family participate more actively once Boris has found them.

Completing the main quest opens a scent-based hide-and-seek activity, and a further mystery waits at Max’s cabin. These additions return to the game’s existing exploration and tracking systems after the central rescue, rather than requiring another campaign purchase.

Outside the main search, players can try time trials and photography challenges, clean up parts of the park and investigate a local legend. Ranger Maxime guides the adventure through voiced narration. Discoveries unlock handwritten journal entries, while collected accessories can change Boris’s appearance.

The official listing identifies the adventure as single-player. Family Fun refers to Boris and his siblings within that adventure; the announcement does not turn it into a multiplayer family game. For buyers choosing a format, the other practical distinction is timing: the November digital launch precedes the boxed edition by more than two months, and that box uses a game-key card.
