Look Outside is available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 following its October 30 console release. Devolver Digital’s survival horror RPG was created by Francis Coulombe, with MP2 Games handling the console adaptation.

The launch announcement lists a European price of €9.99. The US PlayStation listing is $9.99 and identifies it as an offline, single-player game. These are regional storefront prices, rather than a promise that every shop charges an identical converted amount.

The building is both refuge and threat

The premise is confined to an apartment building after an unexplained event transforms people who look through a window. Exploring the corridors means searching for food, tools and weapons while meeting residents whose altered lives can be frightening, strange or unexpectedly helpful.

Returning home is an essential part of the loop. Players can cook, craft equipment, recover and spend time with people they have brought into the apartment. Some residents can become allies or receive shelter. The home consequently changes through the people the player meets, as well as through the supplies recovered on an expedition.

The game description emphasizes decisions about whom to trust and how to respond to situations inside the building. Its multiple endings and different companion combinations mean those encounters are more than decorative conversations between fights.

Turn-based combat with a spatial component

Combat accounts for the distance between the party and its opponents. Scavenged weapons and improvised tools therefore have to be considered in relation to positioning, rather than simply selected for a damage number. Gathering equipment during exploration feeds directly into those encounters.

The published feature list includes more than 150 creatures and approximately a dozen bosses. Devolver estimates a typical adventure at around 10 to 12 hours, but that remains a publisher’s scope estimate, not a measured completion time from this article. The pixel presentation includes graphic body horror and violence despite its compact characters and familiar domestic setting.

Where this release sits in the game’s history

Look Outside first reached PC in March 2025. Its Final Vision update was announced in October 2025, adding endings, areas, interactions, quests and further monsters, alongside a Cursed challenge. That was an earlier PC update, not a second new announcement made with this week’s console launch.

The console release announcement establishes the four new platform versions but does not provide a version-by-version comparison of the earlier update. It also does not describe transferring PC saves to consoles. The new availability is nevertheless straightforward: players on both generations of PlayStation and both Switch systems can now enter the same apartment-building premise without waiting for a future port date.
