Brawl Stars’ November update raises the requirements for Ranked while reducing how far players fall at the beginning of each season. The November 3 release notes set Power 11 as the required Brawler level throughout Ranked and move the unlock point for new players from 1,000 to 5,000 Trophies.
Existing access is protected: players who already unlocked Ranked keep it. Diamond now requires 12 eligible Brawlers rather than nine, matching Mythic, while the seasonal supply of free maxed Brawlers increases from three to six. The higher entry threshold and larger temporary roster arrive together, so the change is more specific than simply asking every player to upgrade six additional characters.
Less rebuilding after a season reset
According to the release notes, monthly resets drop players two ranks instead of six. Best-of-three results also count rounds: a 2–0 victory earns an additional benefit, while a 1–2 defeat loses less Elo. Ranked teams are unavailable at Masters I and above.
These changes affect different parts of the climb. The reset revision reduces repeated progress after a season ends; the round-sensitive scoring gives a reason to keep competing after losing the first round. Neither guarantees a particular final rank, because opponents and subsequent results still determine progress.
Drafting gains better sorting, ban suggestions, pick-order swaps and quick chat. Together with a larger pool of free maxed characters, those tools make it easier to express a team need before a match begins, although coordination still depends on the players involved.
Ranked and the championship now have separate paths
Reaching Pro no longer directly qualifies a player for BSC 2027. Supercell’s championship plan sets out a league with eight teams per region across APAC, EMEA, South America and North America. Six places come from the final 2026 regional standings; the remaining two are decided through invitationals. New challengers have a route through the Challengers program rather than treating a Ranked badge as a tournament invitation.
Directly invited teams must retain their core roster, with no more than one change before the new season. Their response and roster deadline is December 20. Those conditions concern organized teams and competitive continuity, not the ordinary account requirements for entering Ranked.
The separation also follows lessons from the previous Ranked redesign. In his 2025 retrospective, game lead Frank Keienburg described a push to connect Ranked, the Pro Pass and esports more closely, followed by participation returning toward earlier levels after an initial rise. The new design revisits that relationship while preserving a monthly ladder.
For an everyday player, the immediate check is their eligible Brawler roster and whether their account already has access. For an aspiring team, championship qualification now requires following the separate competition pathway. The two goals can share practice time without sharing the same entry rules.
