Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited will receive a Western release in 2027 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. Idea Factory International is publishing Compile Heart’s RPG following its August 27 Japanese console release.

The Western product page confirms English and Japanese voice options across the announced platforms. Console text is listed in English, while Steam additionally lists Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Those language differences are more specific than a blanket statement that every version contains the same localization options.

Flight changes exploration and combat

The story begins with an asteroid and the apparent end of the world. Neptune survives in a white space, guided by an unidentified voice and numbers marked on her face. A retry sends her into another cycle of beginnings and endings as she and her allies confront Doomsday.

Eleven Goddesses are involved in the adventure. The new movement system allows them to switch between running and flying, opening routes above the ground through rooftops, waterways and other spaces within expanded dungeons. The publisher also highlights hidden items that reward exploring those different elevations.

That vertical movement carries into combat. Characters can transform into Goddess forms, attack from the air and use dive attacks, with revised combos and new EXE Drive animations. Large world bosses make positioning a component of the encounter rather than treating flight only as a faster way to cross a map.

The Japanese introduction adds that Doomsday battles involve all the Goddesses. Dedicated counter skills can interrupt a boss’s large-scale special attacks or deliver powerful responses. These are announced systems; the Western reveal does not provide a complete balance breakdown or a hands-on assessment of their difficulty.

New faces and more control over equipment

Series artist Tsunako returns with revised outfits and new characters. The Japanese material introduces another generation of guardian Goddesses alongside familiar figures. It also describes twin sisters who transform together into a single Goddess, adding a different relationship between the cast’s ordinary and transformed forms.

Customization covers both appearance and combat development. Accessories can be placed, resized and recolored, while character colors can be changed more freely. Processor Unit equipment found in dungeons can be strengthened to improve statistics. Disc Make returns as a crafting system connected to additional abilities, giving customization a mechanical role beyond arranging cosmetic items.

Physical editions do not cover every platform

Western physical releases are planned for PS4, PS5 and Switch 2, with the Switch 2 game stated to be on the card. Digital releases cover all five announced platforms, including the original Switch. A boxed Switch 2 release should therefore not be mistaken for confirmation of a boxed original-Switch edition.

Standard, Limited and Digital editions appear on the official site, but their prices remain to be announced. The release window is still the year 2027; a month, final Limited Edition contents and platform performance targets have not been supplied in this announcement.
