Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen has begun a Delicious in Dungeon crossover featuring official Pawns modeled after Laios and Marcille, plus outfits that players can keep after the promotion ends. The collaboration is live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC; Capcom’s Western announcement schedules the Switch 2 version for November 11.

The event has two different forms of access. Recruiting the special Pawns is time-limited, while the costumes become lasting inventory items once claimed. Treating both rewards as temporary would miss the main distinction for players deciding when to log in.

How to obtain the rewards

The special companions can be hired through the Official Pawns menu in the Rift, accessed from Riftstones such as those found in towns. Capcom’s Pawn directory identifies Laios as a Fighter and Marcille as a Sorcerer, giving the two characters different roles in a party.

To receive their outfit sets, players load a save from Dragon’s Dogma II or Dark Arisen during the availability period. The items are then added to storage automatically. Both the Arisen and Pawns can equip them, and redeemed outfits remain available after the collaboration closes.

The Western release notes set the endpoint at the January 28, 2027 title update. The directory’s Japanese entries display November 12 for Switch 2 and January 29 for the end of availability. Those are regional calendar listings of the event; the Western dates above follow Capcom’s English announcement rather than silently substituting the Japanese dates.

Official Pawns have their own restrictions

Capcom explains that Official Pawns use a different name color and cannot have their equipment changed after hiring. They are also excluded from certain ranking features, and some have restricted availability. Hiring is free of Rift Crystal cost for Official Pawns up to level 10; that statement should not be generalized into a promise that every official companion is always free at every level.

The crossover fits Dragon’s Dogma’s single-player party system. Pawns accompany the Arisen as AI-controlled companions; recruiting one does not turn the game into online cooperative play. Delicious in Dungeon, created by Ryoko Kui, supplies characters whose own adventure follows a party exploring a dungeon and cooking the monsters it encounters.

The update also addresses blocked quests and Pawn behavior

The November 4 patch notes fix a Warfarer issue in which a particular sequence involving an Unmaking Arrow could freeze the game. They also address Pawns jumping from cliffs when called from the opposite side, and Thief Pawns continuing to use Ensnare on defeated large enemies.

Progression fixes include a path failing to open during Seeking the Sage, enemies preventing completion of Beyond Ruin-Night, and entrance doors trapping players after certain save-and-load sequences in the Precipitous Catacombs or Mired Conduit. These notes apply to the named November 4 PlayStation, Xbox and Steam update; Switch 2 has its own update schedule.
