A World of Keflings is getting a new story campaign on November 6 with Which Witch, an expansion set around an election in the Fungus Kingdom. NinjaBee announced the Steam-exclusive DLC on November 4, promising branching resolutions to major quests while retaining the game’s familiar resource-gathering and construction systems.
The candidates are witch sisters Bethtilda and Gertigail. Both have ideas about how problems in the kingdom should be solved, but the player chooses whose suggestion to follow. The announcement says each major quest has two endings, with decisions affecting the inhabitants and the wider story. It does not put a number on every possible complete-campaign outcome.
Familiar residents, different decisions
The DLC description gives some examples of the returning cast’s work. The King is preparing to retire, Kris has another science project, and Ratbeard needs a delivery of romance novels handled. These are new circumstances for established characters, giving the Fungus Kingdom campaign connections to the earlier adventures without requiring it to continue the exact state of an existing town.
That separate-story structure is reflected in how the expansion starts. Owners select Play Game, then New Game, then the DLC’s story from the main menu. It still requires the base game; standalone here describes the campaign’s place in the menu, not a separate product that runs without A World of Keflings.
The language requirement is also worth checking before a group begins. Which Witch’s content is English-only. The base game’s broader language list does not apply to this new story, so owning a localized version of the original game does not establish that the expansion’s dialogue has the same translation options.
A new campaign after the returning DLC
NinjaBee describes Which Witch as the first entirely new content since the trio of expansions originally released for Xbox 360 in 2012. Updated Steam versions of those older packs arrived earlier in 2026. Which Witch therefore extends the current PC release with a new campaign after that work on the back catalogue.
The Steam version of the base game itself arrived in July 2025, updating the 2010 console game for modern PCs. Its construction loop involves gathering materials, building workshops and other structures, and developing a small kingdom through quests. Which Witch keeps those activities and the job assignments for Kefling workers, with narrative choices added around them.
Both solo play and online cooperation are supported, and the base game’s listing specifies a maximum of eight players. Newcomers can try its free demo before buying into the game and DLC. Returning players have a more direct starting point: the separate Fungus Kingdom campaign, with a choice between the sisters’ approaches at each major quest.
