HoYoverse has opened applications for Honkai: Nexus Anima’s Final Closed Beta, which begins November 25 on PC, Android and iOS. The November 5 announcement also sets a spring 2027 launch window for the creature-catching RPG, separating the next test from the commercial release.

Applicants must complete the recruitment questionnaire linked through the official site. Places are limited and selection is required; registering interest does not immediately unlock the client. HoYoverse says all test data will be erased afterward, so the creatures and progression accumulated during this build will not become a head start at launch.

What the new test contains

The official test overview expands the town of Iia with locations including a bank, office building and lighthouse island. Players can return to an RV and build habitats for their Anima. Additional juvenile creatures and Chromatic forms broaden the collection, while the new Nexus Arena introduces ranked battles using player-built lineups.

Event Bonds also change. The first five-star Eidos or Anima obtained from the relevant event system is guaranteed to be its featured limited unit; obtaining the featured Eidos additionally grants the matching Anima Companion. This describes the identity of the first five-star result, not a promise that the first individual attempt produces a five-star unit. The distinction matters when comparing the system with other recruitment mechanics.

The guarantee is being demonstrated in a test whose data will be wiped. It therefore tells prospective players what HoYoverse intends to evaluate, but it should not be used to calculate a permanent account’s value or to assume that every test parameter is fixed for launch.

A creature-catching Honkai game

The publisher’s App Store listing gives the broader premise: a traveler escapes captivity, crosses between worlds and forms relationships with Anima while investigating their own past. Collecting creatures, building a team and traversing land, sea and sky are central to that description.

That places Nexus Anima in a different kind of activity loop from simply collecting human characters. The companions also participate in exploration and social interactions, making the habitat and juvenile-Anima additions relevant outside competitive battles. How much depth those systems provide will depend on the playable build, rather than the number of announced features alone.

The iOS listing supports English among 13 listed languages and currently labels April 1, 2027 as an expected date. The broader release announcement only commits to spring 2027. Until HoYoverse announces an exact day, the store’s expected date should not replace that stated window.

The confirmed next milestone remains November 25. Players can apply for this limited test or pre-register for the eventual release; these are different actions, with different access and persistence expectations.
