Loftia has opened in Early Access, giving its shared floating world a much larger playable scope than the recent demo. Qloud Games launched the game on November 3 for Windows and Mac through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with farming, crafting, exploration and community projects forming the core of its social life simulation.

The developer’s launch announcement sets the U.S. introductory price at $24.89, a 17% discount scheduled to run for two weeks. Regional prices vary. The standard U.S. base price is $29.99. This is a paid game with additional optional cosmetic purchases, so the initial purchase and the cosmetic shop are separate parts of its business model.

A larger city and new ways to explore

The Steam Early Access description identifies four story chapters across three major regions: Loftia City, Hanging Gardens and Gridfall. Alongside that storyline are side quests, cooperative World Projects and Adventures, with outfits and decorations to unlock. For demo players, that means the new release extends both the geography and the progression available in the introductory build.

Qloud’s Early Access overview gives the districts different functions. Hanging Gardens has community farms, fishing locations and a forest to investigate. Gridfall focuses on salvaging the old world’s remains, with air rails, tall buildings and underground spaces. Movement upgrades reinforce those differences: Bounce Shoes help with vertical travel, rail boots serve Gridfall’s routes, and a propeller upgrade expands the glider’s reach.

The community projects also grow beyond the demo’s birthday celebration. Examples include restoring the city dome and building renewable energy infrastructure. These goals give gathered materials a shared destination, in addition to whatever players are making for their own homes. Individual proficiencies can progress beyond the demo’s level-five limit, with perk choices attached to activities such as farming, cooking and fishing.

What is available now and what comes later

Qloud is targeting roughly a year in Early Access, but has not committed to a fixed 1.0 release date. The launch roadmap names the Study Cafe, Clubs and NPC Friendships among the systems still to come, alongside more islands, characters and quests. Those features should not be confused with the content already included in the November build.

The social structure also has a practical limitation: Loftia requires an internet connection, even when a player chooses to progress alone. Solo play is supported within the online world; it is not an offline mode. Qloud says playing without a group will not block progression and still provides access to almost all content.

Optional purchases include the Backer Boutique’s cosmetics and a Community Pass with extra cosmetic World Project rewards. The studio says the pass rewards do not expire after a project ends. For someone mainly interested in the new districts and story chapters, that separates the permanent world content from the additional appearance rewards offered alongside it.
