Put Your Toys Away Together! has launched on Steam, turning the cleanup of increasingly large toy shops into a cooperative sorting game. Toxic Studio and Polden Publishing released it on October 30, with solo play, online groups of up to eight players and local split-screen among the available ways to tackle the shelves.

The developer’s launch announcement describes three stores containing approximately 2,800, 10,000 and 20,000 toys. More than 500 toy types make up that clutter, while collectible cards add a search objective alongside the main cleanup. The task is to identify the right destinations, carry objects over and gradually turn the scattered pieces into completed displays.

Some displays provide a visible result beyond a full shelf. Completing toy scenes can set a train moving around its track or start a helicopter’s rotor. In a group, players can divide the search across different parts of the store; in a solo session, the same layout becomes a longer sorting project.

Three modes use different rules

Classic mode asks players to return toys to their proper departments. Free Play relaxes the department restriction, letting any toy go on a shelf where it fits, although a shelf row still holds one toy type. Each store keeps separate saves for its modes, according to the developer’s detailed mode guide.

Updated November 6: Time Attack’s refill rule is more specific than simply placing any toy. The team gains time as it raises its record for correctly shelved toys. A toy on the wrong shelf does not count, and removing and replacing the same toy does not generate extra time. The bonus scales with the number of players, so a larger group does not use precisely the same refill calculation as a solo run.

That changes how the timed mode should be approached. Progress comes from finding additional correct placements, rather than repeatedly manipulating an already completed shelf. When the timer expires or the shop is finished, the results show individual contributions to the cleanup.

The first update adds a sorting shortcut

The November 5 version 1.0.1 update adds Sorted Hands to the Inventory upgrade branch. Once purchased, picking up a toy groups matching objects immediately beneath it in the carried stack. After placing one, another of the same type is ready next, reducing the need to cycle through unrelated objects.

The patch also expands inventory progression in the larger stores and improves the available Highlight Similar and Collect Similar upgrades. An invitation fix allows the pause menu’s Invite option to work when Steam’s overlay is disabled, addressing a practical problem for groups trying to get started.

The current store listing shows a 15% introductory discount through November 13. A separate Supporter Pack adds cosmetic items and voice filters; the three sorting modes and their different rules belong to the base game.
